Preparations for the IPL 2020 have started and in this case, apart from the players, the franchisees have also started their planning. The Kolkata Knight Riders have now made a new announcement for the 13th edition starting a few months later.
On Monday, KKR appointed former England wicketkeeper batsman James Foster as their fielding coach. KKR revealed the name of Foster, giving information on his Twitter handle. Foster will now take up this responsibility in place of former Assam cricketer Subhadip Ghosh.
The 39-year-old Foster played seven Tests, 11 ODIs and five international T20 matches for England from 2001-2009. He made his Test debut in the year 2001 against India and then came into the role of coach after retiring in 2018.
Foster will now take over the reins of the team with former New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum and will teach players tips as well as fielding tricks.
