Laura Wolvaardt is an South African women's cricketer and the She is an opening batsman of the South Africa women's cricket team in T20I and ODIs. She was born on 26 April 1999 in Milnerton, Western Cape, South Africa. She also plays for the West Province women and Brisbane Heat.
Domestic career
At the age of 11, Wolvaardt was selected to play for the Western Province Under-19 girls team. In 2017, she had played for the Brisbane Heat in the Women's Big Bash League season 2017-18.
International career
She is made her ODI debut 7 February 2016 against New England and T20I debut 1 August 2016 against Ireland.
In December 2013, 13-year-old Wolvaardt was selected to play for the South Africa Women's Under-19 team. She was named the 2013 South Africa Under-19 Women's Cricketer of the Year.
Awards
In May 2017, Laura Wolvaardt was voted the Female Newcomer of the Year at Cricket South Africa's annual awards.
